Describing her personal experiences as a junior faculty member, Linda Nielsen delineates the subtle manifestations of prejudice that are often more pernicious than overt inequities. The author analyzes the impact of discrimination on her personal and professional life, comparing her perspective on the nature and efforts of prejudice with those of other researchers and female academicians.
