AB Professor Green asks whether the future holds many surprises, and concludes that the forms of education we see today will prevail over the long run. He wonders whether our social order has changed, or will change, sufficiently to allow us to establish a new educational order. He suspects that it has not, and will not, but argues that at least that is the right question.
